Charge" is no longer produced. It is now
included at no extra charge in MacFreeze Refrigerants!
Dye Charge is compatible with mineral oils and is specifically designed to assist you in locating air conditioning leaks that may occur in your air conditioning system.
Dye Charge may be used in all air conditioning systems.
A precisely selected color (yellow) is used in Dye Charge and it allows the dye to be highly visible. In fact in most cases Dye Charge is so easily located, a black light is not necessary. However, you may have only a slight leak in your system and the use of a black light would ease the locating of the leak.
Dye Charge contains a hydrocarbon propellant. Please confirm the refrigerant you are using in your system before installing Dye Charge. If your system contains a hydrocarbon refrigerant, simply add our Dye to your system. However, if your system contains a refrigerant other than a hydrocarbon, you must evacuate your system and reclaim the refrigerant in the system into a suitable container before adding Dye Charge.
After installing Dye Charge and repairing any leaks, evacuate and reclaim the hydrocarbon propellant. After the above has been completed, install the refrigerant of your choice.
